The Tank Driving experience

Gable Events offer a series of packages that include motorised activities and tank driving is one of the most exhilarating, providing an unforgettable experience to impress clients or thank staff in a very special way. One such event took place recently at Belvoir Castle, near Grantham for senior staff and clients of BGL.

Gable Events and Belvoir Castle

As the preferred event supplier to Belvoir Castle, Gable Events has run a number of successful activities at this outstanding venue. These have ranged from chocolate making in the Old Kitchens to a Medieval day for 350 international students from Cambridge University. We were therefore delighted to be given the opportunity by Belvoir Castle to organise a corporate tank driving and motorised activity day for one of their most important clients, BGL.

Gable Events’ role in the Tank Driving day

Working to a set budget and brief, Gable Events created an exhilarating day of tank driving, quad biking, digger driving and clay pigeon shooting for ten of BGL’s senior staff and their clients. The guests were greeted at 10am by Gable Events event manager and staff and enjoyed a welcome and safety briefing over coffee and bacon rolls in the Castle. BGL’s managing director arrived in style by helicopter.

The guests were split into two teams and during the course of the morning competed against each other driving Gvozdika Russian tanks (brought in specially for the day) and quad bikes over the Castle’s magnificent grounds. The client then enjoyed lunch in the Castle before the afternoon’s activities began.

In the afternoon, the guests complete some tricky manoeuvres in JCB diggers and then had a go at clay pigeon shooting under the expert supervision of our trained staff.

The action-packed day culminated in an awards ceremony back in the comfort of Belvoir Castle where the winning team were awarded medals and a bottle of bubbly to celebrate!
