TUI Travel were so impressed with the professional way that Gable Events ran their its a knockout for 200 staff that we were the obvious choice for their next big team building event. The client was looking for a fun team building activity that would involve discussion, strategy, movement and above all socialisation of all the guests on the day. Thomson and First Choice had just merged to become part of the TUI Group and the aim of the event was to integrate the two offices in a fun and relaxed manner.

Gable Events Role

Gable Events suggested a Treasure Hunt in the centre of Harpenden, a town full of interest and not far from their offices in Luton, would provide the perfect solution. Treasure hunts appeal to all ages and abilities, they keep everyone active and involved and get people working together effectively as a team. They also provide the opportunity for teams to mix and socialise together at the end of the event with some informal hospitality usually arranged.

This day was no exception as Gable Events sourced and booked an excellent local pub that would be the start and end point of the treasure hunt and our event manager then got to work writing the hunt to meet the requirements of the location and client. With information packs and a full brief provided by our event manager and assistant on the day, the teams were all fired up for an afternoon of fun, culminating in the hilarity of the group marking session at the end and the opportunity to feast on a sumptuous buffet and BBQ at the pub, which was again organised and coordinated by Gable Events.

A Big Success!

TUI Travel UK enjoyed a fantastic sunny day running around Harpenden finding the answers to the varied mix of fun, pictorial and cryptic clues, taking photographs with the digital cameras provided of…well everything in sight it seemed!
